CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) is a form of corporate self-regulation integrated into a business model.
As a modern and responsible Law Office, which is meeting new expectations from its partners, on 23rd March 2012 we participated in training activities to answer the question: "How to run a sustainable business?". The course was conducted by EKC Poland, a company with extensive experience in providing training activities and consultation in the field of quality management systems and ethical standards.
During the training activities we worked out a common strategy for business conduct, compatible with CSR guidelines, including ISO 26000 international guidelines, and we created a catalogue of rules of work in our Law Office.
Our strategy for development of CSR consists mainly of social aspects and environmental protection. Realization of these objectives takes different forms, that includes publishing articles on legal and social topics, and applying to public administration bodies, indicating the existence of a particular social problem. We shape our impact on the environment by reducing energy consumption and sorting waste.
Good examples of social responsibility, in relation to our Clients are:
- calling law enforcement agencies attention to abuses towards citizens;
- commenting projects of legal solutions in media;
- sending a letter to the Ombudsman indicating the discriminatory provision of Article 188 of the Labour Code regarding exemptions to provide personal care of the child;
- writing articles about legislative problem, with which we meet during our legal practice.
In addition, we support cultural activities. One of these activities was organizational and financial support for the outdoor, educational and historical event - "Rzeczpospolita Kampinoska 2011" held on 1st October 2011. The aim of the event was to present the reconstruction of fights in September 1939 (beginning of the Second World War), and partisan battles of 1944 (Warsaw Insurrection).
Attorney Grohman, as a student of the history of the Polish army and its weapons, in order to recall Polish military's history from the thirties and forties of the XX century, in the article in a local newspaper, "Kocham Kampinos" presented a story of a polish gun "Bofors" 37 mm wz.36. The gun "Bofors", a "special guest" of "Republika Kampinoska 2011", was presented on that outdoor event also as the initiative of Bartosz Grohman.
Attorney Bartosz Grohman and his wife Elżbieta are also founders of a portrait painted by Michał Baca depicting the President of Supreme Bar Association of Poland, Attorney Joanna Agacka - Indecka (1964-2010), who carried her function from 2007 to 2010, who died tragically in Smoleńsk.
